The application for Scenic Texas contained more than 70 criteria points focusing on standards including streetscaping, parks, trails, and more. Recognized for the continued protection of Keller's natural beauty and commitment to development, Scenic Texas awarded the city with the Gold Status - good through 2019 when the city will need to reapply.
